Have you established a company page for your business on Linked In?

Many people think of Linked In as a playground for recruiters and those seeking employment, but the site is much more than that. It’s a great, virtual, networking coctail hour, and a tool for raising venture capital, business development, and more.

Among Linked In’s many benefits in the opportunity to create a business page for your company, associated to the profiles of company employees.

Setting Up

In order to set up your company page, you need to have an email address with the company’s domain name, that is, joeblow@companyname.com. When you enter your company’s name as you make your profile, Linked In will present a number of options with the name of companies that already exist in their database. If you find your company name here, just select it. If not, you’ll have to add a new company.

Adding a Company

You can add a new company by going to the Companies title in the main menu bar near the top of your window. This will take you to the Companies page. Click on Add a Company and fill in the blanks. Linked In gives you two choices as to who can edit your company page: everyone with a company email address or only designated people.

Once you have added your page, you can add your logo and a company description, your company URL, and a list of some areas of specialization.

Products and Services

In a separate tab, you can also add descriptions of the products and services you offer, along with photos and videos, and links to places where visitors can find more information.

Trumpetist Linda Briceño is a rising star in the world of music. This young performer is not only a terrific jazz trumpet player, her mellow, full voice knows her way around old standards as well as new songs. This happy combination, as well as her charismatic stage presence, made her one of the highlights of the Miami Symphony Orchestra Annual Gala at the Ice Palace.

Ms. Briceño comes by her musical talents the old fashioned way, as she comes from a musical family. Judging by the reception the audience gave her at the concert, she has a stellar career ahead of her. Making sure that talented young performers like Linda Briceño have the light and sound equipment they need to make justice to their talents in this kind of event  is part of what we do here at Nexhibitor. Seeing it all come together like this was quite a treat.

A rising star.

Of course, having the Miami Symphony Orchestra to back her up, under the direction of Eduardo Marturet, is no small thing. Ms. Briceño rose to the occasion to the delight of musicians and spectators alike. Other soloists included Associate Pincipal Oboist Nicholas Thompson and Concert Master Daniel Andai. Also making an appearance during the concert and in the after-concert party was the Official DJ of the 2006 NBA World Champions Miami HEAT, DJ Irie.

The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO), under the direction of Conductor Eduardo Marturet, celebrated their Annual Gala at the Ice Palace, and Nexhibitor was there.

The 2010 MISO Annual Gala Event was a who’s who of Miami cultural life, with guests including Carolina Herrera and Plácido Domingo, Jr. The hosts, journalist and international personality Ana Remos and Peabody and Emmy-award winner and NBC/Telemundo anchor José Díaz Baralt started the evening off with a bang. Nexhibitor-installed video screens showed presenter Mike Paxton introducing the various orchestral works, as well as segments of a number of films as the notes of their musical scores filled the Ice Palace. Nexhibitor lighting and sound systems completed the show.

The program included works by Prokofiev, Beethoven, Dvorak, Elgar, Tchaikovsky, Bizet, Falla, Hyman/Green, Howard, Rota, Morricone and Williams.

Musical guests in the eclectic program included young singer and trumpet sensation Linda Briceño, a rising young star of the music world, the official DJ of the 2006 NBA World Champions Miami HEAT, DJ Irie, who enlivened the after-concert party in the lounge area, and Nexus Integrated Marketing President and CEO, Fernando Duprat, in his debut as triangulist.

The Nexhibitor crew was hard at work long before the music started, designing the dazzling video and light show and ensuring that the Ice Palace space and the sound system did justice to Maestro Marturet’s work with the Miami Symphony Orchestra. Their work paid off handsomely, as the evening was clearly a great success.

Nexhibitor is proud to have collaborated with The Miami Symphony Orchestra and Conductor Eduardo Marturet to make this gala a reality.

Cuba Nostalgia, now in its 12th year, is the premier Cuban event outside of Cuba. It is a journey back in time for those who remember the island’s glamorous times – and for those who never experienced them. The show featured live Cuban exhibits, artists and vendors, traditional Cuban foods and, of course, music. The event took place from Friday, May 21, to Sunday, May 23 at the Fair-Expo Center in Tamiami Park in Miami, FL.

Nexhibitor was pleased to design and build the Miami Herald‘s stand in this year’s Cuba Nostalgia event. This is another example of the close relationship between Nexhibitor and the principal newspaper of Miami-Dade County and one of the most important publications in Florida.
